Embark on a Rewarding Career as a Midwife

Becoming a midwife is an incredibly fulfilling career choice. It’s a profession that combines medical expertise with a deep sense of compassion and care. Midwives play a vital role in supporting women and their families throughout pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

Our midwife courses are designed to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to excel in this rewarding field. By choosing to study midwifery with us, you’ll gain the expertise to provide exceptional care to women and their families.

Training to become a midwife is a comprehensive process that typically takes three years to complete. This involves a combination of academic study and hands-on clinical experience. To qualify for a midwifery degree, you’ll need to have an approved degree in midwifery from a university or undertake a midwifery degree apprenticeship. If you’re already a registered adult nurse, you can undertake a shorter course instead, which takes 18 months.

A career as a midwife is not only personally rewarding but also financially beneficial. Generally, midwives earn a higher salary compared to nurses. It’s important to note that there’s no age limit to pursuing a midwifery career. With passion, dedication, and the right qualifications, you can embark on this fulfilling path at any stage of your life.

If you’re drawn to the idea of supporting women through one of life’s most significant moments, midwifery could be your calling. Midwifery is a satisfying career, and we will aim to prepare you to be a confident and compassionate team member!
