What you'll learn
To begin, you’ll take a look at the first steps you need to take to start your business, examining what skills and resources you’ll require. You’ll also consider factors such as manufacturing, marketing, distribution, and sales.
Next, you’ll consider the market your business idea will be positioned in, and how to use market research to support your start-up. You’ll also discover how to develop a successful marketing strategy.
Moving on, you’ll gain an understanding of the legal and financial considerations that might affect your business start-up. You’ll learn about self-employed and corporation tax requirements, as well as the processes required to register with HMRC.
In unit four, you’ll apply your theoretical knowledge to developing your final business plan. You’ll learn exactly what a business plan entails, and how they are used to support successful businesses.
