An entrepreneurial mum who established a group of Ofsted-rated outstanding nurseries has now been heralded as one of the UK's most powerful people in the childcare industry.
Samantha Britton and her husband Jarrod co-own Mon Ami Children's Nurseries and have gone from strength to strength. They established their first nursery in Swineshead in 2002, after finding it difficult to find a suitable nursery for their own daughter, Amelia. The company now caters for around 100 children and has 60 staff, with Ofsted-rated outstanding nurseries in Swineshead, Boston and Alford. The couple's most recent nursery opened at the end of last year in Wragby.
To their great surprise and delight, they realised they had been nominated in Nursery Management Today magazine's Top 10 Most Influential 2016. One of the reasons for the nomination is Samantha's ability to provide high-quality childcare for families regardless of their circumstances. Her staff and colleagues say that she is passionate in the belief that all children should be given every opportunity to reach their potential. Britton is due to attend the awards ceremony in June at Barclays HQ in Canary Wharf.
