What you will learn

  1. Unit 1: Using IT to increase productivity

    In this unit, you will be able to plan and select which IT tools and systems are best suited to the completion of an identified task. You will learn to identify any restrictions or constraints that may affect how a task can be completed using IT tools and systems

  2. Unit 2: IT software fundamentals

    In this unit, you will learn to select appropriate software applications to meet user needs and solve problems. You will learn how to present information in ways that are fit for purpose and audience.

  3. Unit 3: IT security for users

    In this unit, you will learn how to use appropriate methods to minimise security risks to IT systems and data.

  4. Unit 4: Presentation software

    In this unit, you will learn how to structure, edit, and format slide sequences using presentation software. To prepare a slideshow for presentation.

  5. Unit 5: Spreadsheet software

    In this unit, you will learn how to use a spreadsheet to enter, edit and organise numerical and other data.
