The Introduction to Bookkeeping course has been designed to introduce beginner bookkeepers to the basic bookkeeping practices which underlie bookkeeping and accounting processes, from this course you will gain fundamental knowledge and understanding of the principles of bookkeeping. If you are a small business owner, or part of a larger organisation, having bookkeeping and accounting knowledge is a must-have business skill.

This course will provide you with some of the foundation knowledge you’ll need to pursue further training, such as our ICB Level 2 Certificate in Bookkeeping, and ICB Level 3 Bookkeeping and Accounts. As this is a free course, there is no formal outcome.
How is this course assessed or examined?
Throughout the course, there will be self-assessment questions to enable you to monitor your progress and a knowledge check quiz at the end of the course. There are no formal assessments.
