The aim of this unit is to equip learners with an understanding of the principles of effective decision making; styles and models of leadership; the role, functions and processes of management; and an understanding of performance measurement.
This unit aims to provide learners with knowledge of project management and the roles required to support the delivery of a project. Learners will identify what is required to effectively collaborate with other departments and understand the principles underpinning negotiation.
This unit aims to provide learners with an understanding of the principles underpinning the delivery of presentations. Learners will be able to describe different types of media used to deliver a presentation and its limitations.
This unit is aimed at developing learners’ understanding of different techniques and organisational procedures for dealing with customer problems and complaints.
This unit is designed to equip learners with the techniques for monitoring the quality of customer interactions. Learners will be
able to identify techniques used to gather the required information and provide feedback on performance to colleagues. Learners will develop an understanding of how to gather and analyse customer feedback in order to recommend improvements to customer service.

Course Outcome
At the end of this course, successful learners will be awarded a formal certificate of achievement by NCFE. The training courses have been designed specifically to meet the needs of learners who prefer to study from home.

How is this course assessed or examined?
The NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management is internally assessed and externally moderated.
Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence which demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria.
The main pieces of evidence for the portfolio could include (in no particular order):
- Learner’s proof of work
- Assessor observation – completed observational checklists and related action plans
- Witness testimony
- Worksheets
- Assignments/projects/reports
- Record of professional discussion
- Record of oral and written questioning
- Learner and peer reports
Entry requirements
While there are no strict entry requirements for this Level 3 Certificate in Principles of Management course, it is strongly recommended that you have the ability to read and write in English effectively.
Learners may find it helpful if they’ve already achieved a Level 2 qualification.
