Enjoy a career as a qualified mortgage advisor with this Ofqual regulated CeMAP course online. Oxbridge offers fully accredited CeMAP training which ends in an official CeMAP Qualification and a license to practice. The best part is that it can be studied from home.

What Is CeMAP?
CeMAP stands for Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice and covers everything you need to know about the mortgage industry in order to offer informed, professional advice to clients. This certificate is a highly respected benchmark CeMAP qualification, and, once you’ve completed it, you’ll be fully qualified and licensed to practice as a mortgage adviser or broker. After you've passed your exams and achieved your CeMAP qualification, you’ll be ready to start your new and exciting career, where you could earn up to £70,000 per year!

Why choose the CeMAP qualification?

This CeMAP course meets standards set by the Financial Services Authority and is awarded by the London Institute of Banking and Finance. This course is split into three modules and includes a general introduction to the UK financial services industry, as well as the relevant regulations and legislation you’ll need to be aware of in order to give valuable and ethical advice. When ready, you can simply sit your exams online, with provisional results available instantaneously! *CeMAP® is a London Institute of Banking & Finance registered trademark.

Start your CeMAP course from home today and get qualified quickly. On average, students pass twice as quickly with Oxbridge CeMAP training.

What you'll learn

Unit 1 - UK Financial Regulation (UKFR)

In the first unit, you’ll get an introduction to the financial services environment and products, and study UK financial services and regulation. This module will act as a foundation of knowledge for the rest of the course.

Unit 2 - Mortgages (MORT)

In unit two, you’ll learn about mortgage law, policy, practise, and markets, mortgage applications, and payment methods and products. Moving on, you’ll study mortgage arrears and post-completion issues.

Unit 3 - Assessment of mortgage advice and knowledge

In the final unit, you’ll consolidate everything you learned in units one and two, and apply your new knowledge to case study scenarios.

Why study a finance course with Oxbridge?

At Oxbridge, our online finance courses cater to learners of all ages and abilities. Most of these courses don’t require formal entry requirements. The A-level Economics course is the only exception, requesting a GCSE qualification in economics or maths.

What’s more, all our courses are taught entirely online by highly experienced tutors, so you can work from home at a time and pace that suits you. So are you ready for a brand new, successful career?

What qualification is CeMAP equivalent to?

CeMAP (Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice) is an RQF “Level 3 qualification”, awarded by the London Institute of Banking & Finance. This means CeMAP can also be attained by completing an alternative Level 3 mortgage qualification, followed by one additional module – Advanced Mortgage Advice (AMA).

What’s the difference between a mortgage advisor and mortgage broker?

There’s essentially no difference between a mortgage advisor and a mortgage broker. While the specifics of the job descriptions may vary, the primary function of both mortgage advisors and mortgage brokers is the same – to find customers the right mortgage for their circumstances.

How long does it take to gain a CeMAP qualification?

Students have up to 12 months to complete their studies and gain their CeMAP qualification, however certification is typically achieved in much less time, with the average CeMAP student at Oxbridge becoming a CeMAP certified mortgage advisor in approximately 4 months.

What is CeMAP?

CeMAP stands for Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice. It’s a mortgage advisor qualification and certification that’s approved by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), and is widely requested by employers in the financial industry. In short, it’s the UK’s “industry standard” mortgage advisor qualification, and a must-have for those looking to enter the industry.

What finance courses should I take?

That depends on your current training and where you want your career to take you. For example, if you don’t have any financial qualifications, we’d suggest studying an A-level in economics.

Once you’ve gained a solid foundation, you can progress onto more specialised courses such as business finance.

One of our most popular finance-related courses is the CeMap mortgage advisor course, specifically designed for individuals entirely new to the mortgage industry. Upon completing the course, you’ll receive a ‘licence to practice’ thanks to the course’s FCA accreditation.

If you don’t quite know which course is right for you, speak to one of our learning advisers, who would be happy to help.

How can I self-study to be a mortgage adviser?

There are multiple ways to gain a finance-related qualification; however, more and more people are drawn to self-study. This avenue gives you much more control over your learning. You don’t have to schedule your work and personal life around attending a brick and mortar school or be held back by others who aren’t picking things up as quickly as you.

The easiest way to self-study a finance course is to do it online. That way, you have 24-hour access to high-quality learning materials at any time or place and can schedule a virtual one-to-one whenever you require additional help or support.

Is a career in finance for me?

If you’re blessed with the ability to analyse numbers, have high organisational skills and can often see the bigger picture where others fail, then a career in finance is for you.

Whether it’s planning for retirement or trying to budget and save for a new home, many people get frazzled when it comes to their finances. Put your skills and passion to good use for a rewarding career.

Love my couse, super tutor.
trustpilot rating
Started my course about 8 weeks ago. The joining was very straightforward and quick to get started. I paid on a Friday and was up qnd running by Sunday. I am absolutely loving the course (history A level). The tutor has been super. Gets back to all my queries really quickly, she is really positive and supportive and making sure I'm staying on track. I think it can be easy to skip.things or over delve where not necessary so I contact her quite a bit and I can't fault her supportiveness. I really wanted to go to a college but needed flexibility and I'm enjoying and learning so much on this course. Would definitely recommend. Though don't bother with student card. I looked into it and doesn't seem all that good

My first attempt at Level 3 Creative Writing - a passion ignited!
trustpilot rating
My first attempt at Level 3 Creative Writing was aborted, my decision, I don't think I was ready. However, if this happens to you it is possible to sign up again within 6 months; and you can do it at a reduced rate. I have 'blitzed' it since commencing at the end of September and am half way through already. Roger, my tutor has been fantastic. For me this is about serious learning not just 'jumping through hoops' to get a Diploma. I wanted to be marked tough and to Uni standard and this Roger has done, with often direct and candid feedback, and even when I have done something well he offers alternative views and further reading. I feel very flattered and honoured with the level of marks received too. A fire has been lit, and maybe, just maybe at the age of 62 I have found something I have a real talent for...the next few modules will be interesting as learning about Fiction so will be way out of my comfort zone! Where it will lead who knows? It would be nice if it did, but if not it doesn't matter. The Portal seems easy to use and assignments are marked promptly. Thank you and best wishes J

Very pleased with Oxbridge, they are excellent course providers. I have done Level 3 (supporting teaching and learning in schools) few years ago and my tutor at that time was great. I'm currently doing Level 4 (Advanced practitioner in schools and colleges) and again my first tutor Jenny Tidmarsh was great, my current tutor Sarah Connell is brilliant, she is really helping me with my research project, her technique is wonderful going step by step and she is always giving great advice and very supportive feedback :)

I cannot express how pleased I am with Oxbridge Home Learning. I am one of those people who does not like to ask for favours or help unless I really need to. My tutor Kerry Ore is one of those people who will support you from start to finish, and exceptional in reading people. She has been my rock and I appreciate her honesty and because she cares for her students to do the best and pushes them so they achieve their best. This is my first course with Oxbridge, but I can assure you it won't be the last. If I could, I would have given them 10 stars. Thank you for everything, Kerry and Oxbridge people 😊🌟👌 I have received my certificate today (7th September) and it made my day as it made it real that I am now qualified in something I have always wanted to be. It has opened new doors for me and I am so looking forward to open those doors with the help of the Oxbridge. Thank you for everything.

Jenny, an amazing counselling tutor.

I have just completed my level two counselling qualification. My tutor, Jenny Preston. Has been an amazing tutor, and I couldn't of asked for more support if I tried too, she was on hand around the clock whenever you needed her. She's an asset to Oxbridge Home Learning, and her advice and support is everything you could ever of asked for in a tutor. Jenny has a heart of gold, and is very sociable and this pushed my motivation forward. Jenny has been fantastic, and has made my experience of Oxbridge very bright. Thank you for everything from myself, and your other students!
