Learning Designer

  • Required: Immediately
  • Package: £ Competitive salary plus perks
  • Location: Modern offices, Birmingham Science Park, West Midlands

You will be working with a direct-to-consumer online learning provider.  You’ll be working with a high-pedigree team and a history of success and outstanding work.  You will need to have a proven track record in Instructional Design, UX and an outstanding portfolio.  You’ll be the kind of person who likes attempting difficult tasks and achieving good results because you know you are capable and take great pleasure in doing so.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Instructional design experience in online learning and blended learning creation
  • Exceptional visual design skills and the ability to storyboard
  • Familiarity with SCORM, TinCan, commercial LMS systems and Moodle
  • Qualifications in instructional design, particularly for online delivery or related area
  • Organised, with a “can do” attitude
  • You will be highly self-motivated, able to work autonomously as part of a team as well as independently

Copywriter

  • Required: Immediately

You’ll be given lots of creative freedom and help us present ourselves in an interesting and colloquial way. You will be creative and imaginative, possess excellent interpersonal skills, you will work well with a range of creative people and be able to work under pressure and of course, be expected to produce some killer copy. You will support the marketing team with writing all kinds of materials from blogs and infographics to taking ownership of all the copy on our website. You will also support the learning team by helping take raw learning materials and making them read well.  Again, while considering our brand voice and how to retain the interest of learners.

  • Website, SEO and Social Media
  • Copy for our learning materials
  • Scripts for videos and animations
  • Email writing; ensuring our communications are on brand and sound great
  • Blog writing, you will be required to produce well-researched and considered posts

Full Stack PHP Developer

  • Required: Immediately
  • Package: £ Competitive salary plus perks
  • Location: Modern techy offices, Birmingham Science Park, West Midlands

The ideal candidate must have bucket loads of common sense and have 4+ years’ experience in full stack PHP development with a keen eye for UX and have extensive experience in building/managing sites for maximum speed and compatibility. Motivated and logically creative, you must show the ability to think from a commercial perspective and understand user pains and how to overcome them.

Essential Skills

  • Bootstrap / PHP MVC
  • LAMP (Particular focus on PHP & MySQL)
  • Strong Javascript skills in modern frameworks (Angular, jQuery, React, Knockout)
  • Responsive / Mobile design
  • GIT / Version control
  • API integration and development (particularly REST & SOAP based)

Course Adviser

At the forefront of our mission, you will be answering calls and emails from new and returning students. In this role, you will offer guidance and advice prior to enrolment.You will be required to make outbound calls to students who have registered an interest in progressing their future with us. This role does not have any cold calling involved. You will be responsible for enrolling new students on to our course of their choice. You will benefit from a comprehensive training programme along with lots of other benefits in this forward-thinking, people-centric organisation.

Course Authors

Are you considered an expert in your field? Are you passionate about what you do? We are looking for skilled and experienced course authors (in various subject areas), to write compelling, effective and engaging course materials. You will be required to provide sample materials that you have previously written in order for an application to be progressed. We’re seeking candidates who are highly motivated and love their specialist subjects.

Course Tutors

As a course tutor with Oxbridge Home Learning, you will be giving excellent friendly and supportive advice to students enrolled on our exciting courses. You will be assigned students studying courses within your specialisms, you will mark assignments and provide feedback and advice to learners via phone and email through our learner portal. In addition, you will take part in standardisation meetings. This is a remote role with plenty of student contact, it is a highly rewarding position.
