As a college, we’re highly dedicated to helping people achieve their personal goals. It’s something we’re incredibly passionate about. After all, we’re changing lives and shaping futures. So, when one of our team members gets shortlisted for an award in recognition of their hard work in helping people to find that success, we love to share it.
The BIG announcement
We’re thrilled to announce that our director and founder of Oxbridge, Matt Jones, has been shortlisted for two awards at the Leadership Awards (West Midlands), hosted by the esteemed media outlet TheBusinessDesk.com.
The Leadership Awards celebrate role models within organisations that raise the bar for other companies to follow. The winners will show qualities of striking leadership and be able to demonstrate the positive impact this has had.
Matt has been shortlisted in two categories:
- Empowering Potential Leader: Awarded to leaders that inspire, develop and unlock the true potential of others, pushing them to believe in themselves and exceed expectations, either their own or others.
- Company Leader (up to 100 employees): Awarded to small company leaders who’ve worked wonders to make a difference, overcoming challenges with flexible ideas, approaches and added personal touch.
Matt is up against exciting and equally inspiring entrepreneurs, including Richard Howle (NEC Group) and Susan Webb (PwC) in the Empowering Potential Leader category, and Rob Pollard (Lightbox Digital) and Don Dhaliwal (Conigital) in the Company Leader (up to 100 employees) category, among others. The competition is really fierce.
Rise Up: A college that makes a difference
After winning a string of awards in 2018/19, including wins for ‘Best Team’, ‘Best Service Provider’, and ‘Best Small Business’, Oxbridge mean business (no pun intended). Matt’s on a mission to shake up the distance learning environment. Getting recognised for the work Oxbridge does for the learning community is highly commendable.
Matt commented: ‘The Leadership Awards are a fantastic way of sharing with people across the West Midlands how hard Oxbridge, and other businesses, are working to inspire greatness. I believe mentoring and empowering people to better themselves is of the utmost importance in making the West Midlands the UK county of choice.
Whatever happens on the day, simply being shortlisted shows that Oxbridge are continuing to make strides in making the world a better place. A place where people are more skilled, relevant, and updated than ever before.’
The Leadership Awards will take place on Friday 15th November at the Botanical Gardens, Birmingham.
