Throughout this course, you may be expected to complete assignments, essays, research projects, posters, leaflets, presentations, PowerPoint presentations, video/audio recordings, work-based and practical learning sessions to meet the requirements of your course. Much of your studies can be done from your own home. However, all of your practical assessments will take place at our Birmingham-based assessment centre.

You have up to a year to complete this course, this is usually ample time for learners, even with full time jobs and other commitments. Don’t worry if you go over the year though, we can organise an extension to your course for a small fee, which also extends your tutor support. At the end of this course, successful learners will receive two qualifications:
This means that you will achieve Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications on the RQF for England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Your qualification is accredited by NCFE, one of the UK’s leading OFQUAL approved awarding bodies in the health, fitness and active leisure sector. This qualification will provide level 2 and 3 entry onto the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs). REPs are an independent public register which provides regulation for instructors and trainers to ensure that they meet National Occupational Standards agreed by the health and fitness industry. This will enable you to obtain public liability insurance to practice as a Gym Instructor.
Membership with REPs is valued and respected, enhancing employability, and is recognised in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa.

In addition to your course fee, you will need to pay £250 for each assessment day you attend. How many days you need to attend will be dependent on how you progress on the course, students normally need between 1-3 assessment dates.
