Reinforce your understanding of Maths with a Further Maths A-Level. Designed for anyone who enjoys maths and/or aspires to study maths or a science-based subject, such as engineering, at a higher level. This course provides a satisfying challenge, introducing complex topics, such as matrices, that enrich your mathematical ability. Moreover, we’ll assess how you apply that knowledge to solve problems at an advanced level. An ideal companion course to A-Level Maths, Further Maths makes transitioning to a STEM degree course much easier.
Further Maths A-Level expands on the core material found in A-Level Maths with more challenging topics. The aim is to widen your scope of maths and maximise your knowledge. To do this, you’ll engage in more sophisticated areas of pure maths. For instance, you’ll learn about sequences, vectors and 3D space. As you progress, you’ll cover topics such as statistics and mechanics, which are relevant to maths and science further learning courses.
Further Maths A-Level is useful if you want to do a mathematically-rich or STEM* degree at university, such as engineering. Why? Well, it’s because Further Maths shows you’re prepared to meet the demands of the degree. After all, you’ve studied concepts at an advanced level. In addition, A-levels are the gold standard for education in the UK. As a result, they’re are respected by employers and universities alike and open more doors for you.

Your personal tutor will be highly experienced in their subject area and qualified to teach.

We are able to offer places at partnership exam centres across the UK for our students, therefore, guaranteeing an exam venue. If you choose to find your own exam centre, you can, you will need to register with them as an external or private candidate. Fees vary across the country so we recommend enquiring prior to enrolment.
